Things Brides Can’t Forget to Have on Their Wedding Day

As a Dallas wedding photographer, I know the day of the wedding can seem a little chaotic. It is easy to overlook some very important details. Here are 3 groups of items you cannot forget on your wedding day. 

The Essentials

There is a group of items that I would consider essential to the wedding. These are things you couldn’t get married without. The first would be the marriage license! If you don’t have the marriage license, it can’t be signed by the officiant or the witnesses to make your wedding legal. You’d have to go through the process again. Your dress and accessories and his tuxedo!! These cannot be forgotten on the wedding day. The rings are also essential for the ceremony. The vendors’ contact information laid out is incredibly important to have just in case things are running a little behind. It’s also very important to have a few copies of your wedding day timeline so you can have someone delegated to keep things moving along.

Helpful Wedding Day Items

There are some things that can make your wedding day run a lot smoother. Having snacks and drinks, most importantly water, for the whole day can make a world of difference. You don’t want to be dehydrated or starving while trying to read your vows. A first aid kit and sewing kit can also come in handy for the unanticipated things that might come. You never know when tragedy might strike, even just a little tear in your veil. Extra clothes and comfortable shoes are also helpful! If you’ve planned on wearing your wedding dress the whole reception, it might be good to have something to dress down into when you go hard on the dance floor. You’ll also want to pack some deodorant, toothpaste, and stain remover. Tylenol or other medications you might need are also nice to have.

Wedding Day items to Bring For Photos

If you’re planning on having your Dallas wedding photographer capture flat lays of your wedding day items, there are some things you might not think to bring. One thing that is really fun to have in your flat lay is save the dates or wedding invitations. These make a great addition because it’s something that was important to the wedding day. You could also bring photos of a loved one who has passed to incorporate them into your special day.
