First night tips for the bride

One of the least talked about times of the wedding is the wedding night. However, the first night ever in your marriage is an important one! This is the first time you guys are sleeping together in your new roles as husband and wife. If you’re feeling a little nervous or worried for your wedding night, here are some first night tips for the bride!

Prepare Ahead For the Wedding Night

One of my first night tips for the bride is to prepare for the first night well ahead of time. This doesn’t mean about every little thing, but one specific thing in particular, your sleeping arrangements! Make sure to choose a place that is really close to the reception hall. Trust me, you’ll be exhausted and might just go straight to sleep. When booking the hotel, don’t book online. Call them and make sure to tell them it’s your wedding night!! A lot of hotels make special accommodations for the bride and groom on their wedding night. This may include some room arrangements like scattered rose petals or champagne. While you’re on the phone with the hotel, tell them you’d like a room away from noisy areas. Don’t forget to choose a hotel with the amenities that are most important to you. Do you want them to have a restaurant so you don’t have to cook? Would you like a kitchen in your room so you can eat after the reception without leaving the hotel?

Go With The Flow

Don’t set your expectations too high for the first night. This is one of my favorite first night tips for the bride because it can help with a lot of headaches. Go with the flow because you might be too tired the first night for anything intimate. You’ll probably up until 2 a.m dancing and talking with your bridesmaids and groomsmen, so make sure you’re okay with just going straight to sleep. And make sure you communicate with your new spouse about how you’re feeling so there are no hard feelings. Let your spouse know you’re too tired and it has nothing to do with them. If either of you got a little overstimulated during the evening, maybe it’s a good time for a shower and a cuddle while you watch a movie as you fall asleep.

Take Your Wedding Night SloW

A little advice for my first timers, break the tension! If you do decide to go for it and you both saved yourselves for marriage, it might feel a little awkward. Remember, you can start out slow. You can be intimate in other ways, it doesn’t have to be all in at once. You can give each other massages! Another idea is to just have a steamy make out session! Maybe do an intimate slow dance together. You could also start in the shower which can feel a little easier because it’s a normal thing you take your clothes off for. It can feel a little scary at first and it’s okay to communicate how you’re feeling, this is your best friend and the person you’ve chosen to spend forever with!

Spicy First Night Tips for the Bride

If you’ve been together for a long time and you’re worried about how to make your first night special, I’ve got you! There are so many stores online now where you can find fun games to play or things to try on. Put on a little fashion show for your groom and let him choose his favorite outfit for you. There are also really fun, romantic bath options you can do. And plus, baths can help with those achy muscles from those high heels you wore dancing all night. Do yourself a favor and check out The Fantasy Box. One spicy item at an in-person store can be the same price as one box that includes a lot of items to spice things up! There is even a honeymoon box! You guys can choose one together that seems interesting and open it together on your wedding night.
